17th of March

The time of waiting is finally over. Today is Ireland's most famous festival; the St. Patrick's day or just "Paddy's day", (NOT Patty's day). Throughout Ireland, parades are being held and people are dressing up as Leprechauns. Some people even dye their hair green [1]. We went to the parade in Dublin city wich I presume is the biggest parade in Ireland. Actually there's much more going on this spring. Easter holidays just started and currently
is the liturgical time of Lent (The restrictions of Lent are lifted on St. Patricks Day).
In addition this year is the 100th anniversary of the easter rising in 1916,
wich is also greatly celebrated right now. Overall it's a time full of Irish traditions and it's exciting to be part of it.
