The Guinnes Storehouse is definitely a 'must-visit-place' in Dublin-city. Serveral exhibitions illustrate the different steps of brewing beer and deliver a unique insight of how "Guinness" reached it's current popularity.
The tour takes about 2 hours including a taste-test (or a coke if you're under 18) and finishes with a beautiful view over the Brewery and Dublin-city.

On Saturday we visited the'Wicklow Mountains National Park' The trip was the first of 7 non-obligatory trips every exchange student who's interested can attend. In total we where about 35 students from: Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and Spain though most of them come from Germany. We walked about 6km and ate pizza on our way back home:)

Gaelic Football is beside Hurling and Rugby one of the most popular sports in Ireland. Because it's such a unique sport I thought the best thing I could do is just try it out:) Therefore I went to the local GAA club and asked whether or not I can join the club… Unfortunately I can't. The coach said most Irish children learn to play since they're 4 or 5 years old and I wouldn't have a chance to keep up with them:\ But then I had an Idea! Well, If there is no future for me as a successful GAA player what would be better then becoming a teacher. No sooner said then done, from now on I'll support the other trainers to coach the 'young talents' in classical Irish sports. However there might be an opportunity to try it out myself:) The training takes place on a large sports ground close to my home and is every Saturday morning. I already had the occasion to speak to some club members and to get an overview about the training content which includes several games like balancing a ball on a camán or trying to catch the ball using it. The club also has a clubhouse where you can warm up on cold days or get something to eat/drink.
